The Plan

Your voice is needed!

Since 2014 not one mining or gas project has been rejected even though there are laws that are meant to protect Queensland’s best farmland, tourism icons and communities(1). The laws aren't working and they need to change!

Will you be part of the plan to protect our best farmland, significant cultural heritage sites, water resources and local communities?

Here are ways you can be involved...

1. Take Action Today and sign our petition.

We're asking to reform the Regional Planning Interest Act to stop mining and unconventional gas encroaching on our precious farmland and critical water catchments.

Take Action Now

2. Order a free Plan to Grow Pack - and put up the signs and stickers included.

By sticking a sticker on your car, putting up a sign on your fence and sharing some flyers in your local area you will help build the groundswell that can’t be ignored!

Order your Plan to Grow pack

3. Call your local MP and discuss your concerns.

It may seem scary - but our MPs want to hear from their constituents. That means you! You may not get to speak to your MP directly. That’s OK. The staff will be very happy to take a message for you and pass it on. The questions in printable A4 format.

Here is an easy guide

4. Collect Petition Signatures

Print and ask your friends, family and neighbours to sign. To return scan or take a pic of the petition sheet and email to [email protected]. Or post the original to Plan to Grow, 17B, 373 Kent St, Maryborough, 4650.

It is essential we strike the balance between mining and regional development, once and for all. We need you to ensure our elected representatives work to protect and preserve Queensland’s best farmlands, our life-giving water and our beloved communities.

With your help we can stop mining and unconventional gas encroaching on our precious places.
